The Russian Entrepreneurship Day was held at Domodedovo airport
May 31, 2019, Domodedovo, the Moscow Region. The Russian Entrepreneurship Day took place at Moscow Domodedovo Airport. The event was organized by the Administration and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Domodedovo Urban District. More than 120 entrepreneurs got acquainted with the commercial opportunities of the airport complex.
«Domodedovo is becoming a point of attraction for new business projects in trade, tourism and hospitality. These industries get additional incentives for accelerated growth due to the proximity of the airport. I am sure that thanks to the event, the entrepreneurs of the city district will have interesting business ideas and initiatives,» said the Director of the Airport Igor Borisov.

These are the construction of T2 – a new terminal segment at Domodedovo airport, large hypermarkets such as Auchan, Miratorg, as well as the development and modernization of dozens of enterprises on the territory of the district. On the Russian Entrepreneurship Day, we are happy to honour those who run this business. Every year we choose a landmark site to celebrate this event, and today, in the anniversary for the district year, we celebrate a holiday on the territory of the city-forming enterprise – Moscow Domodedovo Airport,» claimed the Head of the Domodedovo Urban District Alexander Dvoinykh.
On the Russian Entrepreneurship Day, the concept of Moscow Aerotropolis, a unique Airport City in Russia, was presented. A new urban form will appear within a 20-km radius of the air hub, where objects will be divided into clusters according to spheres of activity: trade, hotel and recreational, business park, expo cluster, industrial cluster and agricultural cluster. The cluster concept of Aerotropolis was developed taking into account the successful world experience in the development of airport environs.
At the end of the event, the Head of the Domodedovo Urban District Alexander Dvoinykh held the award ceremony to honor the best entrepreneurs.
