Representatives of Moscow Domodedovo Airport take part in this most important industry event for discussing the prospects for the development of aviation in Russia and the largest exhibition of aircraft in Eastern Europe.

The organizers of MAKS-2013 expect the arrival of more than 1,000 professionals from the aviation market and industry from all over the world – representatives of government ministries and agencies and specialized companies.

Experts participating in the discussion events of the air show will discuss topical issues: forecasts for the growth of air traffic, the state and prospects for the development of airfield infrastructure, problems of air traffic management, the inclusion of air traffic in the integrated transport infrastructure of the country and the world. Experts will consider these and other issues at the conference «Moscow Aerotropolis – development prospects», organized by the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.

Representatives of Moscow Domodedovo Airport will speak at the conference, they will present the Aerotropolis project, which should grow in the coming decades around the air hub. Domodedovo today is the only airport of the Moscow aviation hub that has such a potential: at the optimal distance from Moscow lands have been reserved here, sufficient for the construction of nine independent runways. An aviation hub with a similar airfield infrastructure can become not only a regional center for the development of the aviation industry, but also have a significant impact on the country's economy.

Experts assess the program of the conference «Moscow Aerotropolis» as very detailed and note the need for such events for experience exchange and the actualization of important issues. The specialists of Moscow Domodedovo Airport pay attention to such industry forums that contribute to the development of Russian aviation.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is Russia's largest aviation hub. In 2012, the airport handled 28.2 million passengers. It is included in the category of the largest airports in Europe and is ranked in the top 3 of Europe's most dynamically developing airports according to ACI Europe classification. Since 2009 it is the best airport in Eastern Europe according to Skytrax rating.
