A 450-room hotel complex will be built as part of Moscow Aerotropolis
On November 13, 2019, Moscow Domodedovo Airport took part in the business breakfast «Transformation of the commercial real estate market. Results of ten-year development», which took place at the site of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. Alexey Ulitin, Development Director of Moscow Aerotropolis, made a speech on the topic «Moscow Aerotropolis is a new ecosystem for business».

Moscow Aerotropolis is a new urban entity based on the commercial development of land around the airport. Within a 20-km radius of Domodedovo, a new urban development formation will appear, being developed according to the cluster principle. Within the first phase, it is planned to develop six clusters: Airport City, Retail and Recreation, Business Park, Expo, Industrial and Agrocluster.

«The cluster concept has been developed taking into account the successful world experience in the development of airport environs. Commercial real estate projects will be implemented on the territory of Moscow Aerotropolis. It will include office, industrial, warehouse property, hotels and apartments, as well as infrastructure for trade, recreation and entertainment,» said Alexey Ulitin.

He told about the first landmark projects of Moscow Aerotropolis that started to be implemented this year. One of them is the construction of a hotel complex of international level, the investor is Granelle company. The partner is an International operator InterContinental Hotels Group. The total area is 35 thousand m2.

The project includes two hotels: Crown Plaza (five stars) and Holiday Inn Express (three stars). The complex will be connected to the airport passenger terminal by a covered pedestrian gallery. The hotel complex has 450 rooms.

Besides, at SPIEF-2019 an agreement was concluded for the construction of the Holiday Inn hotel. It will become part of a multifunctional complex with total area of 20 hectares, including a business center, a shopping center, parking lots and roadside service facilities. The hotel with a capacity of 148 rooms will be operated by the international operator InterContinental Hotels Group.
